Fishing Report and River Flows

The fishing is the best it has been in a LONG time!!!!!!
We are seeing numerous hatches coming off everyday now due to the afternoon monsoonal moisture,  Drakes, Caddis and Yellow Sallie stoneflies  are coming off in mass quantities.  Hurray for Summertime conditions.  We are seeing fish thrash the surface for the "daily special"  and making it quite easy to see where they are.  Get out when you can because right now there are bugs in the air almost all day long.  Keep an eye out for lightning this time of year.  Fly Rods and lightning get along all too well.So if you can hear it it is too close.  Take a break until it passes.

The river flows  will jump up and down due to the amount of rain that fall but the stained water can help give you an advantage in picking the right fly.  Dry flies are coming into play now and the fishing is VERY GOOD!!    With the flows and water temps starting to stabilize the fish are starting to feed and are getting more predictable.  The fish are a lot easier to see which should improve your catching.  If not, give us a call and we'll  share with you some of our fishing experience so that your time spent on the river if more FUN!!

Give us a CALL for more up to the minute conditions and flies to use.
Have a Wonderful day from the Guides @ Summit Fly Fishing
